Some of our success cases
Due to confidentiality we do not always post majority of our rehabilitation cases. Quite often rehabilitation cases are a sensitive and difficult time for owners and horses. We will only post success stories with consent from owners.
One of our rehabilitation success cases, this is probably as bad as laminitis can get with the severe divergence of the dorsal surface of P3 from the hoof capsule however with careful trimming using measurements obtained from the X-rays and dietary changes this little pony made a full recovery and was back being ridden within 8 months.
First image shows how severe the rotation of P3 was and the second image shows the P3 fully aligned. These X-Rays were taken 6 months apart.
This was an extremely challenging case where the first few weeks involved nightly checks administrating pain relief and clearing out infections in the feet to ensure the hoof did not turn septic along with Mike trimming the heels weekly to keep the weight onto the heels.

This little pony had a hoof abscess that travelled up the leg and eventually bursting out. This required constant cleaning and bandage changes due to the tendon becoming exposed. This little pony made a full recovery with very minimal scaring.

Rehabilitation does not only include injuries we also offer weight gain or weight control rehab. We have lots of experience with getting horses in tip top condition from thoroughbreds to shetlands we create a dietry plan to suit individual needs.
