Ponies Produced & in Training
We produce and breed ponies of quality aiming for good confirmation and a fantastic temperament. We specialise in athletic sports ponies that are miniature versions of a thoroughbred race horse. Our outlook at Higher Brake is to never rush a pony and to ensure that they are confident and balanced in order to be capable for whatever they may encounter throughout their careers. We ensure that our environment for the ponies is relaxed and a happy place for them. Below is some information and pictures of some of the ponies that we have produced.

NOW IN IRELAND
Ella
(Coswarth Elegance)
Ella was purcahsed from a local racing yard where she had been broken to ride but was mainly used to keep throughbreds company. Ella was a dream to train she took to games like she had been doing it all her life. Ella has had countless wins in Norway and England attending World Championships where she came 4th. We sold Ella to Norway but she is now back in England competing.
SOLD TO NORWAY

Foxy
(Clonross Foxtrot)
Foxy was an incredibly lucky little pony, she was sent to the meat factory by her breeder in Ireland however her passport was stamped by a vet not knowingly by her breeder meaning she could not enter the abbotoir. She was taken to auction by the meat man where she was sold. We purchased her from Northern Ireland as an unbroken pony however it was clear she had been some what broken to ride. We then re-broke her and trained her Mounted Games. She won countless shows with us and became British Team Champion in 2019.
SOLD TO SWEDEN now in ITALY

Twerp
(Cloigen Fair Twerp)
Twerp was purchased directly from the Cloigen Stud where Taffy was bred. We purchased Twerp due to him having the same sire as Taffy the fabulous Blaenpentre Redfox who was known for his fabulous temperament and good bone being an old fashioned stamp of section B. We bought Twerp as an unbroken 4 year old we broke him and trained him MG then told him. He then went on to qualify for Horse of the Year show and win the Royal Welsh in his first season of competing.
SOLD TO WALES

Max purchased straight from showing where he had a very impressive CV having qualified for Horse of the Year show three time and winning multiple championships he was ready for a new career. We purchased him and trained him MG where he is now in Ireland with plans of representing Republic of Ireland.

Tillie
Tillie was purchased from Ivy Bridge in Devon as an unbroken project we broke Tillie to ride and did a lot of flat work and introduced her to MG we then sold her where she is now a child's allrounder in Sweden.
SOLD TO SWEDEN

Truffle
(Crahan Rum Truffle)
Truffles came from a showing home where he had been prolific on the show circuit however he decided showing was not for him anymore. We gave him a new MG career which he absolutely adored, he took to games so very easily and was one of the most straight forward ponies that we have trained. He went on to compete in Mounted Games and Show Jumping in Italy and is in a forever home.
SOLD TO ITALY
Annie
(Calaminty Jane)
We purchased Annie from Northern Ireland unseen, she had seen some games but had done very little. Annie looked like a mini thoroughbred and was very fast but also calm and collected. We did some flat work with her and a lot of games training then sold her to a client of ours in Italy. She is competing and going amazing in Italy with her jockey that adores her and will retire with her when she is finished competing.
SOLD TO ITALY

Maestro
(Witko Maestro)
Maestro was one of our foals we kept him as a companion pony for some of the youngsters. He had been given plenty of time to mature and was incredibly straight forward to break in. I trained him some mounted games where he showed tones of potential and was quickly purchased by Ballyhane Stud where he is going to continue to be brought on slowly and hopefully he will be a future star.
SOLD TO IRELAND
Dennis
(Mendeh Pendennis)
Dennis was purchased from Gloucestershire where he had done some dressage but had not been at this home for very long and was too sharp for the woman. We trained him MG and he was so naturally balanced and showed masses of potential he is now sold to the most fantastic home and im sure he is going to be a future super star.
SOLD TO ENGLAND

Casper
(Ysbrudrhydd Caspar Boy)

Casper was an expected purchase of mine at Builth Wells Fayre Oaks Sale, I attended the sales to help someone buy a suitable pony and as soon as Casper came in the ring I fancied him. He was the easiest pony to train nothing phased him and we gave him a nickname of Casper with a hand brake as his brakes were really impressive. We sold him to a pony club home where he was reserve at Zones so very close to qualifying for Horse of the Year Show. He then went on to do some showing where he was very successful coming reserve champion at Royal International Horse Show. He is now back on the games circuit and has been in several A finals and competed in Gothenburg Horse Show.

Trevor
(Greenbarrow Midnight Charmer)
Trevor aka Trev the Rev, is an absolute gorgeous pony who moves for fun. He has had a superb show career qualifying for Horse of the Year Show four times and winning Royal International Horse Show along with countless wins at County level. He is the ultimate all rounder he has done some British Dressage previously and more recently he did some eventing with us and we have now trained him mounted games. He is showing lots of potential and we are very excited to see what the future holds.

Saffy
(Cloigen Rosanna)
Saffy was purchased directly from her breeder Janet Morgan as a youngster where we give her some time to mature then broke her to ride. She is a full sister to Taffy and the last foal by Cloigen Rosebud we could not buy her with these valuable bloodlines. She has attended games competitions where she was absolutely awesome and definitely a future superstar coming third in the A final at her first ever competiton.
